Yeh! It's been a long while since I last posted an entry.
Firstly, I would like to apologise to my 6F kids for not attending Justina's birthday. Mr Yap had something on that day. Sorry. =(
Now, I would like to congratulate the rugby boys and also the girls for a great game played!
First of all, the Under 13s for achieving runner up for M1 Bowl 2007!
Next, Under 11s for achieving runner up for M1 Cup 2007!
Well done guys!
Girls, not to worry about the trophies and medals. You gals played well and you rock!
Let us remember what we learned that day and always bear in mind all the mistakes we made.
Last but not least, how can we forget that special sight of the twin rainbows?
Hail to our Al Ma Mater!

Prayer before exam
Lord,
It seems as though our lives are one test after another,
weighing us in somebody's balance.
Save us from taking the coming tests too seriously or too lightly,
but grant that we may reflect the best of the work we've done
and the best of the teaching we've received. . . .
In Jesus most precious name,
Amen

Choices
I totally agree to Ms Lim's talk on "Choices" during Monday's assembly.
Everyone has choices to make. Not just choices to make in school, but, choices to make in life. No one can force you to do things that you do not want to, unless, you choose to do it yourself.
I always emphasise the importance of choices in class. Each and everyone has a choice to learn, or not to learn. I am pleased that most of you chose to learn. I am glad to teach those who are willing to learn. But you may always choose to stay out of my class, if you decide that your conversations are more important. I will never stop anyone from stepping out of my class to set up some talk shop. But it's a choice, at the end of the day, each and every one of us has to bear the consequences that comes with our choice.
Well done to all, who are mature to choose the right choices. Great fruits come from great choices sowed.
Keep up the excellent behaviour!

A new look for my blog
Dear all,
Due to "Demands" from some fans, my blog has a new look.
=)
A reminder to my Art students:
Please do your best for the "Curves and Lines" artwork. I will select 3 most outstanding pieces from my art classes and publish it on my blog next week.
Shalom Peace,
Mr Yap

The great durian
There are alot of ways to look at life.
There are many ways to look at life. Life may be dull at times, empty, exciting, suffocating, excruciating maybe.. can you name me more?
Photos are almost able to express how a person feels. The following photo shows darkness, a sense of emptiness, fear, frustrations and other feelings. But the light brings forth hope. Thus, a photo like the following shows hope, in the midst of down times.
Life is fun with creativity.

Products made by people with disabilities
Today, i came across this fair at Vivocity. One of the stalls was selling products made by people with disabilities. I decided to buy 2 notebooks from them since they are helping the disabled. The reason behind me supporting them is due to the fact that I admire their determination and will. Even though they are disabled, they can still work, draw and produce goods that even I, a more fortunate human being, could not. Another reason would be, when we buy products produced by them, we are creating jobs for them! This is important because each and every human being is special. We are all unique in the eyes of the Lord. Some of us may be born with disabilities, but there's a reason behind every work of God, and we should never look down on the disabled. Same thing goes for the poor doggies and kittens out there in SPCA. Please support them! I will make my trip down to SPCA soon to see how I can help. Anyone interested?
I bought this notebook because I like the design of the coverpage. I only realised that it's a four leaves clover.
And this, the cover is so unique and nice I don't bear to use it!
That's the interior... i plan to write my thoughts and draw on it.
This is the society that helps the physically disabled. Those who are interested to help, feel free to let me know.

Family Day
Every Sunday is family day. I'll try my best to spend time with my family. Today, we went for dinner at Vivocity's food court. Ermm, the top level one.. dunno what's the name. I ordered the beef hor fun, expecting it to be really good, but, it totally "cannot make it". An advice from me, do not try it. Or rather, try it at your own risk!
My horrible and disappointing horfun that cost me $5..
We decided to take the Sentosa Express train into sentosa! Woo hoo! But it was really slow.. felt like LRT...
It was quite thrilling because there was an unattended bag... who knows it could be a "ahem" cannot say... later get imprisonment unnecessarily.
So nice.. get to see such a scene.. you wouldn't get to see this if you drove in!
We wanted to watch the Songs of the Sea... but tickets were sold out. I wonder why... but it was really annoying to see so many tourist in Sentosa! It's so different from 2 years ago!
But the trip was worth it as we saw the sunset...
And I thought it was pretty nice to just let the waves splash on my feet. I felt peace and the closeness to the nature.
Wanna feel and hear my experience? Watch the short clip!
Nothing beats a cup of tea to end a beautiful day.
I love my family! =)

Kallang Stadium
I still remember the days when I ran in the national meets on this beautiful track, in this beautiful, National Stadium. Thousands of runners and coaches from schools all over the nation joined us in this yearly challenge. A challenge to strive for a Gold Medal.
Sadly, this structure that bears my memories and dreams, is going to be demolished! It is going to make way for a new National Stadium!
While it still stands, I decided to take some photos of it. Since, memories may be lost, but not photos.
Enjoy.
These light towers are not to be missed
Beautiful stadium
I still like the light tower
Even better when the sun sets.
I like this shot... because I believe time is an important thing in life.
Hope all of you enjoyed the photos.
Take care and God Bless!
